Mitchell School has hosted a medical clinic on the school grounds since 2006. As a result of grants from the Oregon Department of Human Services, The Collins Foundation, and generous private donations the clinic has expanded to become Oregon’s first rural frontier School-Based Health Center (SBHC) that serves the Mitchell community at large as well as enrolled students.
Clinic hours for both students and community residents are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00AM- 3:00PM.

Dental services here at the Mitchell Community Clinic are the only dental services available locally in Wheeler County. The cost of services are subsidized for low- and middle-income residents. Call 541-462-3313 to make an appointment.
Mental health counseling provided by Morrow/Wheeler Behavioral Health Services is also available in Mitchell on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. Call 541-763-2746 for more information.The Clinic also has a local answering service in Mitchell: 541-462-3313.
